Sunny Deol takes Dharmendra’s most favourite character in ‘Satyakam’ for his next

Sunny Deol has always considered his father Dharmendra the greatest actor. Dharmendra is a legend when it comes to his numerable performances which has gone down in the history of Bollywood. Among them many of his fans including Dharmendra feels his best performance till date has been in a film titled ‘Satyakam’ where he played the title role. This Hrishikesh Mukherjee directorial dealt with the issue of truth and justice. Sunny Deol has therefore connected this with his upcoming film ‘Ghayal Once Again.’ Let us know what’s the connection.

Sunny Deol’s ‘Ghayal Once Again’ deals with the issue of corruption which is prevalent still today. The movie has a fictional newspaper named ‘Satyakam’ which carries out the reports around the city. Ajay Mehra, the character portrayed by Sunny Deol runs this newspaper. It was Sunny’s idea to name this paper on his father’s character name in the 1969 classic.

‘Ghayal Once Again’ is a story of four youngsters who seek help from Ajay Mehra (played by Sunny Deol) against a powerful corrupt man with high influential contacts. This film is a sequel of ‘Ghayal’ which released in the year 1990 which is considered as a trendsetter film in the genre of action films in Bollywood.

‘Ghayal Once Again’ directed by Sunny Deol is slated to release on January 15, 2016.
