Sunny Deol can be termed as a veteran when it comes to his dramatic performances and high voltage action for which he is popularly known in Bollywood spending a three decade long career. He is one actor who never experimented much with his roles but that is certainly to change now. It seems that he is ready to play a character with grey shades.
Apparently, the actor is in talks with a Hollywood production house to buy the remake rights of a Tom Hardy film titled ‘Legend.’ A source says, “Recently, Sunny was in the US with his sons, Karan and Rajvir. During an outing, the three went to watch a recently released film starring Hardy, in which he has a double role. The movie captures the rise and fall of two UK-based gangsters, known as the Kray twins. It charts their gruesome career, from their rise to downfall, and eventual imprisonment in 1969. Sunny liked the movie a lot and felt that the film should be made in India too.”
If he manages to lock the deal and plans to star in the project himself, it would be a double treat for his fans as it would be his first full – fledged double role in his filmography except for a small role of father and son he played in Aag Ka Gola (1990).
Talking about his plans, Sunny Deol said, “I have been a fan of Hardy since the days of Sucker Punch (2008). I recently saw Legend in the US along with my kids, and we were absolutely thrilled by Hardy’s performance. Watching the film has made me want to remake it in Bollywood, and I am in talks to do so.”
Currently his fans are eagerly waiting for his return to Silver Screen with ‘Ghayal Once Again’ the sequel of one his most iconic films ‘Ghayal’ which is slated to release next month in January, 2016. It’s now just a waiting for the bang on surprises his fans will get with much of his work and experiments.
