Sunny Leone will be playing the role of a mythological princess in a show in Bengaluru. Unfortunately, not all is hunky dory as a Pro Kannada group called Rakshana Vedike Yuva Sene have threatened to disrupt things at the show. They are saying that they have bought 200 tickets of the show.
Sunny will be playing the role of Veera Devi, and the show will be heavily guarded to prevent any untoward incident. “The police commissioner has deployed over 300 personnel and we have hired a security agency with about 100 bouncers to make sure there is no untoward incident. Tickets have not been sold to them, they are only using these rumours to threaten us,” Harish Mysore, the director of the event management company, was quoted as saying by News 18.
The group claims that Sunny portraying the role of the mythological princess is an insult to their sensibilities. Earlier, they had even burned effigies of the actress on the streets and threatened to cause a ‘Padmaavat’ like protest against Sunny’s upcoming movie ‘Veeramahadevi’.
Well, we really think that these groups should leave artists alone and let them do what they wish. If they have a problem with the film or a show, they can simply choose to not watch it. It’s good that proper security measures are being taken to prevent such groups from imposing their will.
