Sunny Leone on item numbers: I don’t see songs as bad or weird

Sunny Leone is surely in the best phase of her career. The actress will next be seen in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’, in which she has a special number, which in usual language is termed as an item number. This is not the first time when Sunny will be seen doing an item number in the film. The actress recently in an interview stated that she doesn’t understand the term ‘item number’, and she doesn’t see songs as bad or weird.

Talking about her song in ‘Raees’, Sunny said, “I feel that this particular song has an important part to play in taking the film’s story forward. I don’t understand what the term item number means anyway. From the beginning, Bollywood films have had some of the most amazing songs and people look forward to that.”

“I don’t see songs as bad or weird. When I was growing up, I didn’t know what an item song was. I remember enjoying all the songs. I personally don’t feel there’s anything wrong with the songs,” the actress added.

Further talking about being a part of a Shah Rukh Khan film, the actress said, “For me, it’s like a dream come true. I am so excited about this song and I was waiting for this song to come out. Working with Shah Rukh was a great experience. A lot of work went into the song, so I am damn excited.”

‘Raees’, which also stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, is slated to hit the screens on January 25, 2017.
