Actress Sunny Leone was scheduled to perform in Bengaluru on the New Year’s eve, i.e. in 31st evening. However, with a pro-Kannada group threatening to commit mass suicide in case Sunny wore a ‘short dress’ and performed there, the performance now stands cancelled. Earlier, members of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Yuva Sene also led a protest march and even burtn Sunny’s picture, refering to her past and saying she shouldn’t be entertained to wear short clothes and performance in public, especially in presence of family crowd.
After they threatened to commit mass suicide if their agenda wasn’t heard, the city administration declared they wouldn’t be able to ensure a peaceful situation.
