This superstar wanted to play Dhoni’s role in his biopic

Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey is on the final loops to finish work on his upcoming film which is a biopic on Indian cricketer MS Dhoni. As you all know, actor Sushant Singh Rajput was roped in to play the lead and from what it looks like, he has done complete justice to the film. However, there is a Bollywood superstar who was very eager to play Dhoni, but was refused by the director. Any guesses?

Okay, it’s none other than Akshay Kumar. Akshay has collaborated with Neeraj more than once in past. He felt Dhoni’s story an appealing one and expressed his wish to be a part of the film. However, he had very little physical resemblance with Dhoni and Neeraj had to turn him down on that ground.

On the professional front, Akshay is busy promoting his upcoming release ‘Rustom’ and was also seen in ‘Housefull 3’, the third edition of ‘Housefull’ franchise.
