Over the past few months, the chatter around Dhoom 4 has been growing louder. Reportedly, Yash Raj Films has planned to revive the franchise with new cast. While the fourth installment is in pre-production, social media has been abuzz with reports that actor Suriya is in talks with the makers to join the star-studded cast of Dhoom 4.
Suriya to play villain in Dhoom 4?
Rumour has it that Tamil actor Suriya will join the acclaimed Dhoom franchise. Reports claim that he will take the part of the antagonist in Dhoom 4 but an official announcement has not been released yet.
About Dhoom 4
According to rumours, Aditya Chopra, Ayan Mukerji, Vijay Krishna Acharya and Sridhar Raghavan are all said to be collaborating on the concept for Dhoom 4. Back in August a source told Bollywood Hungama that “Aditya Chopra knows the power of Dhoom franchise and has kept it closest to his heart. While he is developing a series of spy films, he knows the value of the Dhoom franchise and wants to bring it at the right time with the right cast and right director. His mind is all focused to create Dhoom 4 with the best talents of India.”
About Dhoom
For the unversed, John Abraham, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan played the villain in the earlier installments of Dhoom. The film recently clocked 20 years and makers celebrated by sharing a post. It read, “2004 – The year it all began…Thrilling heists, edge-of-the-seat action, and an unforgettable album. Celebrating 20 years of this iconic blockbuster. #20YearsOfDhoom.”
Suriya upcoming movies
Meanwhile, Suriya’s next project is the Tamil fantasy action film Kanguva, directed by Siva, which is set to hit theatres later this year. The film also stars Bobby Deo marking his south debut. Apart from Suriya and Bobby Deol, Kanguva will also feature Karthi and Disha Patani. Not only this but Suriya will also be seen in Suriya 44. The film is directed by none other than Karthik Subbaraj also also stars Pooja Hegde. He is also in talks for his full-fledged Hindi film debut with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Karna.
