Sushant Singh Rajput’s film, ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ has been in the news for quite some time now. He was supposed to play an astronaut in the film which also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui and R. Madhavan. But now, Sushant has suddenly opted out of the film. Instead, he will now direct a film himself in the same genre under Innsaei Ventures which is a joint venture of Sushant and business man Varun Mathur.
‘Chanda Mama‘ was planned to create awareness among the masses. However, since there was too much back and forth around the movie, Sushant could not give his dates to the project, though this has not stopped Sushant from making a film on space. He has taken the onus on himself now and will make India’s first space film with his own expertise of the world of space.
Sushant has always been both enthralled and intrigued by space, right since he was a little boy. His affinity towards space also comes from the love his mother shares and relates with his ideologies. Last year Sushant visited NASA to train himself for ‘Chanda Mama’, and the experience was so overwhelming that he decided to sponsor two of the smartest kids from Mumbai to visit the US Space And Rocket Research Center. This year he plans to extend the opportunity to 100 kids from all over India to go to USSRC through Innsaei Ventures.
Recently, Sushant had booked a piece of real estate on the moon and the land bought by him is on a very specific part of the moon called the ‘Sea of Muscovy’, whose shape is just like the map of India if the Earth were depicted on the moon.

Varun Mathur, co-founder of Innsaei, commented on the same saying, “Sushant’s passion for the moon and space is second to none in this sphere. He has unparalleled interest to learn more about the universe, and to delve into anything that might help him understand this phenomenon further.”
He added, “However, since there was a lot of up and down in this film, Sushant will not be able give his dates to this project since he has his hands full with many projects. Having said that, it does not mean we won’t be making a space film. Innsaei Ventures is quite keen on making a space film and Sushant will be working on this very soon. I extend my very best wishes to Mr. Sanjay Puran Singh and Mr. Viki Rajani for this film. I hope it brings them great success.“
