Sushant Singh Rajput is a die-hard fan of Shah Rukh Khan and this can be gauged from the recent statement that he made at Behtar India Students’ Conclave. The star who has carved his path in the industry solely on the basis of his talent narrated an incident when he landed up on the sets of Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Swades’ just to get the Super Khan’s autograph, but unfortunately, his attempt failed. Right after two years of this incident, he received the best debutant award from Shah Rukh Khan.
He was quoted saying, “I did my schooling and college from Delhi. During my initial years, I used to dance behind the stars. I am a big Shah Rukh Khan fan. When I was in school, I went to the ‘Swades’ set to get his autograph. I couldn’t get it unfortunately. A few years later, I was dancing behind him (as a background dancer) and then after a few more years, I got my best debut award from him.”
The story surely is inspiring. Sushant started his acting career from television and then went on to become one of the popular faces of Bollywood. This transition from television to Bollywood has not brought success to many stars, but Sushant is an exception, and well, he does share the same with SRK. He would next be seen in a film called ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ wherein he would be seen playing a role of an astronaut. On the same, he stated to a news agency, “Right now I am working on ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ for which I recently went to NASA. All my friends in engineering wanted to study and then go to NASA. I was the first one to go there as an engineering dropout! In the film, I will play an astronaut. Also, I will be seen flying cars and flaunting looks in ‘Drive’.” (Also Read: Say what!
