Bombay High Court is set to hear a PIL on February 19 filed by the Supreme Court & High Court Litigants Association of India, led by its president, Rashid Khan Pathan. The petition seeks the immediate arrest and custodial interrogation of Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aditya Thackeray concerning the deaths of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager Disha Salian. It also requests that the CBI be directed to launch a probe and submit a detailed report to the court.

Thackeray has filed an intervention application, urging the court to hear him before making any ruling on the PIL. He argued that the petition was not maintainable as the state was already investigating the matter. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020. Initially, the Mumbai police registered an accidental death report.
Following a complaint from Rajput’s father alleging abetment of suicide by Rhea Chakraborty and her family, the case was transferred to the CBI, which continues to investigate. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is probing money laundering allegations involving Chakraborty and her family, while the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is investigating drug-related claims.
Disha Salian died on June 8, 2020, after reportedly falling from the 14th floor of a residential building in Malad. The Malwani police registered an Accidental Death Report and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
