Rhea Chakraborty is the prime accused in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. It was the late actor’s family who filed an FIR against the actress and others. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) reached Mumbai on Thursday (August 20) to investigate the case. They even reconstructed the crime scene at Sushant’s Bandra residence yesterday.
India Today has the CBI’s tentative action plan for today that shows that the team is likely to call Rhea Chakraborty for recording her statement.
As per the plan, the CBI will also question the keysmith, Rafiq, who helped in breaking the lock of Sushant’s room. As per a police official, the Mumbai Police has handed over all documents and belongings of the late actor to the CBI.
According to a report in India Today, Sushant’s housekeeper Neeraj Singh, in his statement to Mumbai police, revealed what happened on June 8. He said, “On June 8, Keshav cooked dinner for everyone. We were preparing to serve dinner to sir and Rhea mam when suddenly Rhea ma’am called and told me to pack her bag. Rhea ma’am looked very angry then and she told me to pack her clothes kept in a cupboard. She said that she would collect her clothes, which were in another cupboard, later. And she left, without having dinner, with her brother Showik Chakraborty. That time, Sushant sir was seated in the room all the time. The same day, after Rhea mam left, Sushant sir’s sister Meetu Singh came home.”
Sushant passed away on June 14 allegedly by committing suicide.
