Rhea Chakraborty Narcotics Control Bureau

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case is being investigated by not one but three agencies namely – Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI ), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Based on the findings of ED, NCB had filed a case under sections 20, 22, 27 and 29 of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act. They had booked Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, Jaya Saha, Shruti Modi and Gaurav Arya for their alleged dealings in banned drugs. Now the latest reports state that NCB has also registered a criminal case against Rhea. Read on to know the details.

According to a report in India Today, NCB has identified two men, Farookh Sheikh alias Farookh Batata and Bakul Chandalia, who apparently supply drugs to Bollywood celebs. ED is already interrogating hotelier Gaurav Arya in connection to the case.

A few days back, deleted WhatsApp chats of Rhea, Jaya Saha, Shruti Modi and Gaurav Arya had pointed towards a potential drug conspiracy in Sushant’s death case. After booking Rhea and others under 20, 22, 27 and 29 of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act, NCB has now filed a criminal case against the actress for consuming illegal substances.

ED had also found that drugs were supplied to Rhea and Sushant which was also confirmed by NCB director Rakesh Asthana. NCB is now further investigating Darknet connection in this most sensationalised case.

Despite all these reports, Rhea’s lawyer has said that the actress has never taken any drugs and is even willing to give a blood test to prove the same.
