On July 25, Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty for abetment to suicide, embezzlement, cheating and conspiracy under Sections 340, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306 of the IPC. The FIR was registered at Rajendra Nagar Police Station in Bihar. Singh said in his report that Rhea allegedly took away cash and jewellery from Sushant’s house. KK Singh also claimed that Rhea had distanced his son from the family, made him consume an overdose of medicines, and threatened to leak his medical details to the media. She even allegedly transferred Rs 15 crore from Sushant’s account to some other account. Following this Rhea filed a petition in Supreme Court seeking transfer of the case to Mumbai police.
As per a report by ANI, the Supreme Court will now hear Rhea’s petition matter on August 11 (Tuesday). Her plea was earlier heard on August 5. Meanwhile, on August 7, Rhea and her brother Showik were questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at its office in Mumbai in connection with Rajput’s death case. The actress was questioned for more than 8 hours. Rhea’s ex-manager Shruti Modi was also quizzed. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has collected documents related to the actor’s death from Bihar Police.
