Sushant Singh Rajput’s death left a huge void in Bollywood. The actor committed suicide as he hung himself from the ceiling of his Bandra residence. While most Bollywood celebrities have been posting about the actor on their social media handles and mourning his death, others have been calling out the privileged ones for their ‘hypocrisy’. Celebrities like Vivek Oberoi, Anubhav Sinha, Nikhil Dwivedi, Raveena Tandon, Kangana Ranaut, stylist Sapna Bhavnani and Shekhar Kapur are among the latter.
‘Student Of The Year 2’ director and Karan Johar’s protege Punit Malhotra also took to his Instagram handle to bash those trying to reach out now after losing Sushant to depression and mental health issues. In his post, Punit wrote, “You can post a suicide prevention phone number all you want but if you really want to help prevent suicide, depression and self-harm, stop being such assholes to each other online and in real life.”

Sushant’s death has created a huge division in the industry as it has become a wake-up call and put light on the existing nepotism and how it is harming lives.
The actor’s funeral took place on June 15 at Vile Parle’s Pawan Hans crematorium. The funeral was attended by his family and Bollywood personalities.
