Sushant Singh Rajput Death Probe: Late actor’s ex-aide Samuel Miranda arrested by NCB

Today morning, Narcotics Control Bureau officials conducted raids on the residence of Rhea Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda (Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-aide). As the NCB is investigating the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, the raids are in connection with the drug trafficking. After the raid, Miranda was detained by the NCB officials for further interrogation.

As per a report in Zee News, two separate teams of NCB conducted raids at residences of Rhea Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda at around 6:30 am and 6:45 today morning. The NCB officials searched Rhea Chakraborty’s mobile phone, laptop and car. On Thursday, two Mumbai-based persons — Basit Parihar and Zaid Vilatra who had links with Miranda and Showik were arrested.

On August 27-28, the NCB officials raided several locations in Mumbai and arrested two people-Abbas Lakhani and Karan Arora. The officials recovered curated marijuana from them. Then they found the link of Abbas Lakhani with Zaid Vilatra. Samuel Miranda is accused of procuring drugs on the instructions of Rhea’s brother Showik.

The NCB registered the case after the Enforcement Directorate found the WhatsApp messages between Rhea Chakraborty, talent manager Shruti Modi, Samuel Miranda and Siddharth Pithani. The NCB later registered a case against Rhea, her brother Showik, Jaya Saha, Shruti Modi, and Goa-based hotelier Gaurav Arya under Sections 20 (b) 28, 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
