Yesterday, AIIMS, in its report ruled out the theories of poisoning and strangling that was alleged by Sushant Singh Rajput’s family and lawyer. The CBI will now be probing the ‘abetment to suicide’ that was filed by the Bihar police after Sushant’s father filed an FIR. According to reports, AIIMS panel of doctors completed the examination and closed the file after giving conclusive medico-legal opinion in the case.
As per a news report by Times of India, Vikas Singh, Sushant’s family lawyer said hat the AIIMS report is not conclusive and the CBI can still file a case of murder.
The report further stated that the lawyer said that AIIMS worked on photographic evidence which was provided to them. He said, “They don’t have the X-ray of the leg which is said to have been fractured so it cannot be conclusive at the most it could be taken as a piece of evidence in the case.”
On the drug case, he said, “There is nothing much going to come out of it and it has got nothing to do with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case and mere parades are happening.”
Dr Sudhir Gupta, who led the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) panel and re-evaluated Sushant Singh Rajput’s post-mortem and viscera reports, said, “Sushant’s death is a case of suicide. Murder completely ruled out,” as per a report in India Today.
