Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh’s lawyer Vikas Singh, who is also the former additional solicitor general, has revealed that the family wants the Patna Police to probe an investigation in the actor’s suicide. Vikas also said that the late actor’s family has not demanded a CBI investigation yet.
In an interview with ANI, Vikas said, “FIR has been registered now as the family was in shock and the Mumbai Police wasn’t registering an FIR, but forcing them to give names of big production houses and get them involved. It (the investigation) was heading in a different direction.”
He further added, “Patna Police was a little hesitant to register an FIR but chief minister Nitish Kumar and minister Sanjay Jha explained the matter to them and an FIR was registered. We want that the matter should be investigated by the Patna Police. The family has not demanded a CBI investigation yet.”

Vinay Tiwari, Patna (Central) City SP shared, “FIR has been registered. Preliminary investigation has begun. It is not correct to say at this point of time that who will be questioned. All those who were named by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father in the FIR, have been booked.”

Sushant’s father has filed an FIR against the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family. As per the FIR, Rhea, her brother Showik, parents, and Sushant’s manager Shruti Modi have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal code – 306 (abetment to suicide), 342 (wrongful confinement), 380 (theft), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating), 506 (criminal intimidation), 120 (criminal conspiracy). Reportedly they will also be charged under the Mental Health Care Act.
