Sushant Singh Rajput’s father: People cannot achieve so much in a lifetime what he did in just a few years

Sushant Singh Rajput‘s family is completely devastated. His father, KK Singh is heartbroken and still trying to understand what made his son take up such a drastic step. In a recent interview, the late actor’s father spoke about his passion for acting and how he was a ‘special soul’.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sushant’s father said that the actor had left his home without even informing him in order to pursue his dream of acting. Sushant had just informed his sister Neetu and left for Mumbai fearing that he told his father about his dreams then he might ask him to complete his studies first. “My daughters told me to let him pursue his dreams. He had a passion for this. Sushant was sincere but never rigid. Wo duniyadari se dur tha, apne vyaktitav ka pakka tha. Whenever he was afraid I would not give him permission, he would speak to his eldest sister,” Sushant’s father shared.

“My son was a self-made man. He said I would get ahead based on merit. What happened in the end, I don’t know,” said the actor’s father.

When Sushant bagged a role in ‘Pavitra Rishta’, Singh was very happy for his son. Talking about his son’s achievement, KK Singh told the daily, “Sushant was born after so many prayers. Mannat se jo manga jaata hai, wo aisa hi hota hai. Wo vishesh aatma tha. He achieved so much in just a few years, he was a special soul. People cannot achieve so much in a lifetime.”

Sushant switched from television to silver screen and mesmerised everyone with his performances.

34-year-old Sushant committed suicide on June 14, at his Bandra residence. Mumbai police is investigating the actor’s death case.
