Sushant Singh Rajput hits a straight drive with his performance in ‘M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story’

Sushant Singh Rajput is certainly winning hearts of everyone with his portrayal of cricket icon Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the recently released biopic ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’. The actor had faced multiple challenges to get into the skin of the character and looking at the movie, without a doubt the hard work has paid off for Sushant!

Be it the mannerisms, nuances and Dhoni’s style of playing cricket, Sushant had to live Dhoni’s life in order to gain acceptance from the icon’s fans and the audience. From multiple physical transformations to identifying with the varied phases of Dhoni’s life,  the actor has left no stone unturned to mirror Dhoni.

Plus, what adds to the beauty of these appreciations is that the man Mahendra Singh Dhoni, whom Sushant played onscreen. The Captain Cool of Indian Cricket team has been raving about this power packed performance too, and accepts that none could have portrayed him better than Sushant.

If you remember, Sushant had made his big screen debut too by playing the role of a cricketer, in the movie ‘Kai Po Che’. However, the difference was that he failed to make it to the team, and instead finds respite in coaching a young boy who eventually fulfills this dream of his. Since then, Sushant has definitely evolved, and you can see that in his portrayal of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in this biopic. As his fans, we are eagerly awaiting as to what treat this fine performer will give with his next movie.

However, till there is an official announcement of his next venture, we can clearly say that his performance as Dhoni can be said to be one of the finest of 2016, and the critics and audience definitely second this opinion of ours.
