The biopic on Indian cricketer MS Dhoni, where actor Sushant Singh Rajput plays the title role, is making noise for all the right reasons. Meanwhile, during an event, Sushant said he and Dhoni had something in common; no possession or physical attribute, but a common philosophy towards life!
“The one thing I have in common with Dhoni, and I realised it when I started filming, is that I don’t obsess about the future. I don’t have goals… I don’t take myself seriously and that is what drives me,” the ‘Kai Po Che’ actor said.
“It’s the journey that matters more than the destination. Right now is very important,” he added.
He further went on to say that the film was not an attempt to glorify his achievements but instead highlights his eventful journey from nothing to success. “We are not trying to glorify Dhoni. We are not over-glamourising anything. Right from his birth to the 2011 World cup six that he hit, we are showing everything,” he added.
The film directed by Neeraj Pandey is set to hit the theatres on September 30.
