Sushant Singh Rajput case: NCB drafts charge, states Rhea Chakraborty bought drugs for him- Report

Sushant Singh Rajput has been making headlines ever since he passed away in 2020. In the latest development in Sushant Singh Rajput drugs case, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has drafted charges against accused. According to reports, the draft claimed that the accused had entered a criminal conspiracy for the distribution of drugs.

As reported by The Indian Express, the NCB draft also states that the delivery of drugs for late actor SSR was taking place since 2018. Drugs procured by the accused, for SSR’s consumption. This included SSR’s flatemate Siddharth Pitthani, claiming that he ‘aided and abetted’ SRR to ‘extreme drug addiction.’” According to the NCB, Siddharth procured drugs for SSR through his bank account, calling it ‘puja samagri.’

Reportedly, some of the accused also include SSR’s then girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother, Showik and two of the late actor’s staffers. The NCB has submitted its draft proposing to charge the 35 accused under various sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

According to the report, Rhea received many deliveries of ‘ganja’ from accused Samuel Miranda, her brother and others and handed them over to SSR. She also reportedly made payments for those deliveries between March 2020 and September that year,

The report further states that NCB has also claimed that Arjun Rampal’s partner Gabriella Demetriades’ brother Agisilaos Demetriades procured cocaine from a Nigerian national and cannabis and ganja from two co-accused. The accused have been charged by the NCB on charges including Section 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(A), 22, 27, 27A, 28, 29 and 30 of the NDPS Act.

This year, on SSR’s death anniversary, Rhea had shared unseen photos with him on Instagram and captioned it as, “Miss you everyday.” On the work front, Rhea was last seen in Chehre. SSR’s last film was Dil Bechara.
