Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Meetu Singh narrates what happened on June 14 and during her stay at his place

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. So far they have also interrogated several people related to the case. Everyone right from Rhea Chakraborty and her family to Sushant’s staff and flatmates have been grilled by the CBI.

Now Sushant’s sister Meetu Singh had come to stay with him on June 8 and left his home two days before his death on June 14. Meetu, in her statement to CBI, has allegedly narrated the series of event that took place on June 14 and during her stay at Sushant’s place.

India Today has accessed the statements of Sushant’s sisters- Meetu (aka Rubi), Neetu and Priyanka Singh. Out of them, it was Meetu who had stayed with the late actor for a few days before June 14. In her statement, Meetu reportedly said that she received a call from Sushant on June 8 morning asking her to meet him. She went to meet him in the evening and then Sushant apparently told her that he was bored due to the lockdown and wished to visit South India when the lockdown was lifted.

Reportedly it was on June 8 when Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty had left his house after a fight with him.

Sushant then asked Meetu to stay with him for a few days and she stayed back. During her stay, she cooked Sushant’s favourite dishes and together they had a chat about things to do after the lockdown ends. On June 12, Meetu went back to her home in Goregaon as her daughter was alone. She later sent a text to Sushant but he didn’t revert.

“On June 14, 2020, I called Sushant Singh Rajput in the morning at 10:30, but he did not pick up my call. Hence, I called Mr. Siddharth Pithani, who was living with him,” Meetu said in her statement. Siddharth informed her that Sushant might be sleeping in his room. He had knocked on the door, but the door was locked from the inside. However, Meetu told Pithani that Sushant never locks his door from inside so knock again and tell him that she had called.

Meetu further added, “After some time, Siddharth called to tell me that he has knocked the door of Sushant sir’s bedroom many times but he didn’t open the door and hence they are going to call the keymaker. After receiving the call from Siddarth, I immediately left for Bandra from Goregaon by cab. While coming from taxi, I received a call from Siddharth again and he told me that he has opened the door and found Sushant hanging from his ceiling fan. When I reached his house, I saw Sushant lying upside down on his bed and a green kurta hanging on the ceiling fan. Mr Siddharth and his assistants brought Sushant Singh Rajput’s body by tearing the kurta with a knife. Also, he called the police and people from Bandra Police Station reached there. I told my sisters Meetu and Priyanka about the incident.”

Meanwhile, CBI recently also questioned Sushant’s psychiatrist Susan Walker. While the late actor’s family is claiming to be unaware of his mental health, Rhea’s lawyer and Sushant’s ex-manager Shruti Modi had claimed that his family was aware of his mental health.
