A few days back the makers of the film ‘Shashank’ released its posters. Reportedly the film is based on a young star’s mysterious death and nepotism in Bollywood. No points for guessing, the film seems to be heavily inspired by Sushant Singh Rajput’s unfortunate death and the media circus surrounding it.
Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti has expressed her objection to this film. Shweta took to her social media handle and demanded a boycott of this upcoming film which is titled ‘Shashank’.
A few days back, trade analyst Komal Nahta shared two teaser posters of ‘Shashank’. Alongside the posters, he wrote, “Teaser Poster of ‘Shashank’, based on a young star’s mysterious death and nepotism in Bollywood. Under the banner of Roar Productions. Producer Marut Singh. Directer Sanoj Mishra. The film stars Arya Babbar, Rajveer Singh. Shooting will be in Patna, Lucknow & Mumbai. PR #AltairMedia(sic)”
Expressing her objection to the film, Shweta retweeting Komal’s post wrote, “Boycott the film and the one who is promoting it!! #BoycottAltairMedia(sic).”

Ever since Sushant’s death, this is the second film announcement which is apparently based on the late actor’s life. Earlier we saw ‘Suicide or Murder’ being made with some heavy inspiration from Sushant’s life. The film stars Sushant’s lookalike Sachin Tiwari.
We hope the makers of both these films think through their decision and not make a mockery of Sushant’s life and tragic death.
