Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020. As the reason for his drastic step is unknown the police have been investigating the case. For which they have interrogated more than 30 people who were in contact with Sushant. Yesterday, chairman of Bollywood production house Yash Raj Films, Aditya Chopra was also interrogated by the Versova Police.
According to a report by Mid-Day a source revealed that Aditya was questioned about Sushant’s movie ‘Paani’ being shelved. The actor had spent 11 months on the project. Further, Aditya was also questioned about Yash Raj Films’ contract with Rajput and the films he was offered. ‘Paani’ that had Shekhar Kapur as director, was also supposed to be produced by Chopra’s production house so why didn’t it make it through.

Sushant had worked for around 11 months on ‘Paani’ and then it was put on hold. The report further stated that as per police sources, Aditya said that he was the one to ask Shekhar to take Sushant as the lead actor for ‘Paani’ but things did not work out on the creative front between Kapur and Chopra. He also cleared that there were no issues with having Sushant in ‘Paani’. The report quoted that Adiya said, “I was also in favour of making a film with Sushant.”
Reportedly Aditya was interrogated for more than 3 hours at the police station.
