Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh had filed an FIR at Rajendra Nagar Police Station in Bihar against Rhea Chakraborty for abetment to suicide, embezzlement, cheating and conspiracy under Sections 340, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306 of the IPC. In the FIR, Sushant’s father claimed that Rhea had distanced his son from the family, made him consume an overdose of medicines and threatened to leak his medical details to the media. Rhea then moved to Supreme Court and filed a petition for the transfer of the case from Patna to Mumbai. In the petition, she said that the case has been filed “only to harass her” and she denied all the allegations against her. Rhea also said that she was in a live-in relationship with Sushant but shifted to her own residence six days before Sushant’s death on June 14.
Now, as per a report in NDTV, the Government of Bihar has opposed Rhea’s plea for the transfer of the case to Mumbai. They have already moved to the Supreme Court to oppose the petition filed by Rhea. The report also suggested that Mukul Rohatgi, former Attorney General of India will be representing the state at the court. Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate has asked for the details of the FIR filed against Rhea.
The team of Bihar Police that has reached Mumbai has been investigation Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. The Enforcement Directorate has also managed to get the bank statements of Sushant that show that most of the transactions were done by Rhea. From her shopping, make-up to her brother’s travel and tuition fees, a huge amount of money has been spent on their personal expenses.
