Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi are NOT married, latter clarifies after romantic photos spark wedding rumours

Former IPL chairman Lalit Modi shared photos with Sushmita Sen on Thursday. The couple’s romantic photos took internet by storm. Lalit, who the first chairman and commissioner of the Indian T20 tournament, shared pictures with the actress and called Sushmita his ‘better half’.

Sharing the romantic photos on Instagram, he wrote, “Just back in London after a whirling global tour #maldives #sardinia with the families – not to mention my better half @sushmita47 – a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon.”

Many speculated that the couple has secretly tied the knot. However, Lalit Modi took to Twitter to clarify that they are not married. He tweeted, “Just for clarity. Not married – just dating each other. That too it will happen one day.”

Sushmita was earlier dating Rohman Shawl. They dated for three years before calling it quits. A few days ago, Sushmita had opened up about her love life. In an interview with Twinkle Khanna for Tweak India, Sushmita said, “Luckily I met some very interesting men in my life, the only reason I never got married is because they were a let down. It had nothing to do with my kids.”

The actress added, “I came close to getting married thrice, all three times God saved me. I can’t tell you what disasters followed with their respective lives. God protected me also because God is protecting these two kids, he can’t let me get into a messy affair.”

On the work front, Sushmita will be seen in Aarya 3. The actress had announced the same a couple of days ago. Fans are beyond excited for it.
