Sushmita Sen opens up on life after suffering a heart attack: It doesn’t make me fearful now

Earlier this year, the nation was in for a shocking news when it was known that Sushmita Sen had suffered a heart attack. However, her fans got the news of her recovery alongside it, giving them no time to panic. The actress only told about the attack after getting discharged. A few days later, she went on an Instagram live to give all the necessary details of the incident and her health update.

Even though she recovered and kept her fans updated, they did get concerned about the how and what of it. But it’s been over 4 months since the incident and Sushmita is doing fine and healthy. Recently, in a conversation with News 18, the actress was asked about the after effects of the attack.

Being the honest self that she is, Sushmita answered, “It was a phase and it passed. I am very lucky to be on the other side. It doesn’t make me fearful now, instead I now have a feeling of promise, of something to look forward to. When you get a new lease on life, you respect it and are more careful.”

Not just that, a few days ago Sushmita had done another one of her Instagram lives with her fans. There, she updated them about her health and informed that she is in utmost prime condition. She said, “My health is fabulous by god’s grace… I have been eating well.”

Sushmita’s heart attack

Towards the end of February, Sushmita had flown down to Jaipur for the shoot of Aarya 3. It was there only that the actress suffered a heart attack. In an Insta live session, she had informed that she had a 95 percent blockage in the main artery. She went through an angioplasty and credited her healthy lifestyle as the reason for being able to recover quickly. The actress had made the reports of her heart attack official through an Instagram post on March 2, 2023.

Sushmita Sen upcoming movies

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Sushmita has Aarya 3 in the pipeline. She has already completed the shoot for it. Apart from that, she also plays transgender activist Gauri Sawant in a film based on her life. Titled Taali, the film’s teaser was released on Saturday and received rave reviews. Taali will have a direct-to-dogital opening on Jio Cinema and it has a release date of August 15, 2023.
