Sushmita Sen reveals marriage was ‘never a never situation’ amidst rumours of rekindled romance with Rohman Shawl

Sushmita Sen is a Bollywood actress who always speaks her mind. The former Miss Universe has often makes the news for personal reasons like suffering ‘a big heart attack’ in 2023, her relationship with ex Lalit Modi, her on-again-off-again romance with Rohman Shawl and being a single mom. During a recent interview, Sushmita got candid about many things, including how her love life has always been ‘an open book,’ when she will marry, and if exes can still be friends.

While talking to Indulge Express about maintaining friendships with ex-partners, Sushmita Sen said it’s possible and she has witnessed it. She said, “Definitely. But I think it’s hard and confusing. Many people can be friends with their exes and not know where to draw the line or have boundaries. But it’s possible because I have seen it happen, and I am blessed to have it in my life as well.” The actress, who was in a relationship with model Rohman Shawl for years, has once again ignited dating speculation as the two have been seen together frequently.

Talking about marriage, and if she plans on walking down the aisle, Sushmita Sen revealed, “Oh absolutely. It has never been a ‘never’ situation. Be it the biological clock or the right time provided by social conditioning, neither is the right reason to get married. But if the person is right and ticks all the boxes as far as I am concerned, of course, I will get married.”

Sushmita on dealing with heartbreak

Sushmita also got candid about heartbreaks and how she deals with it with dignity. The actress said, “Well, my life has definitely been an open book because I have lived it very honestly, and sometimes fearlessly. But having said that, dignity is something that doesn’t just show up in one aspect of your life — it is who you are. So, all the decisions you take, whether they hurt you, whether you are betrayed, or whether you were at fault, don’t matter.”

Sushmita’s love life has always been of great public interest. The actress dated Randeep Hooda from 2004 to 2006 followed by model Rohman Shawl from 2018 to 2021. In July 2022, it was revealed that she was dating businessman and IPL founder Lalit Modi, but the romance was brief. Owing to being spotted with Rohman on several occasions recently, speculations are rift that the duo are together again.
