Sushmita Sen reacts to being called a gold digger over her relationship with Lalit Modi

Sushmita Sen has been grabbing attention for her personal life from quite some time. She made a lot of headlines when the news about her relationship with Lalit Modi broke on the internet last year. Soon after, the actress received a lot of hatred and negativity on social media. A section of netizens also tagged Sushmita Sen as ‘gold digger’ for dating a rich businessman. Recently, while promoting her upcoming film Taali, the actress addressed the trolls and gave a befitting reply.

Sushmita Sen reacts on being tagged as a gold digger

In an interview with a news portal, Sushmita shared how she deals with such negativity. She said, “I think it’s good that those comments came to me and I could define gold digger. An insult is an insult when you receive it, which I don’t. But there are certain things that are nobody’s business. I don’t need to say it’s no one’s business, but I like the word ‘not your business. It’s so cool.”

Last year, the actress had shared a long post on her Instagram addressing the trolls. An excerpt from the post read, “I dig deeper than Gold…and I’ve always (famously) preferred Diamonds!! And yes I still buy them myself!!!”

Apart from Lalit Modi, Sushmita Sen was in a relationship with model Rohman Shawl which was also the talk of the town. The couple had reportedly parted ways last year. But they were spotted together on several occasions and those moments fueled the rumours of them dating again.

On the work front, the actress will next be seen in Taali. She will essay the role of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant in Taali. The teaser of the project released last week. Taali will stream on Jio Cinema from 15 August. Apart from this, Sushmita Sen will also be seen in the third installment of Aarya.
