The second wave of Covid-19 is spreading like wildfire and it is no secret that there has been a scarcity of oxygen for the patients in various states. Actress Sushmita Sen has come out to help in the crisis and arranged some oxygen cylinders but she hit a roadblock as transportation seems to be a hindrance.

On Thursday, CEO of Shanti Mukund Hospital in East Delhi’s Karkardooma, Sunil Saggar, broke down in front of the camera as he said the patients might lose their life due to the scarcity of oxygen. Sushmita shared a tweet by ANI that read, “Sunil Saggar, CEO, Shanti Mukand Hospital, Delhi breaks down as he speaks about Oxygen crisis at hospital. Says “…We’re hardly left with any oxygen. We’ve requested doctors to discharge patients, whoever can be discharged…It (Oxygen) may last for 2 hrs or something.”

I have managed to organise a few oxygen cylinders for this hospital but have no way to transport it to Delhi from Mumbai…please help me find a way?(sic).”

A while later, Sushmita tweeted a piece of news that came as a relief to those who were in a frenzy, it read, “????? The said hospital has oxygen organised for now!!! It gives us more time to send the cylinders!! Thank you all soooooo much for helping create awareness & support!! ?? deeply grateful!!! Stay good hearted…it suits you!!!?❤️(sic).”

Well, we hope these cylinders reach the patients as soon as possible.
