Sushmita Sen reveals suffering heart attack six months after having an all-clear check up

Actor Sushmita Sen suffered a heart attack earlier this year and this got her fans and family worried about her health. However, Sushmita recently revealed that she suffered a heart attack even after she got an all-clear status six months back. During a conversation with Hindustan Times, Sushmita also mentioned that both of her parents have heart conditions.

The Aarya actor told the portal, “It happened so suddenly and so unexpectedly given that both my parents have heart conditions. I used to have two checkups in a year because I was aware that genetically I had that. My last check-up was 6 months before the heart attack and it was shocking. Everything was okay, the stress test was okay, and the echo was okay. It was a very sudden occurrence.”

Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sushmita Sen also revealed how her daughters Renee Sen and Alisha Sen took care of her post her heart attack. Sushmita exclusively told us, “What they have done, especially Alisha, my elder one is a big girl and has her own responsibilities and she is independent now. But this little monkey (Alisha), she gives me my beat-a-lock sharp at 9 without fail. She has set alarms so that I don’t miss my medicines, thanks to her. She is a very nurturing soul. They are like ‘My mother tells me what is good for me and all so she must know what’s good for her. So, she just has to follow it.’ But it is lovely to have children who hold on for dear life. But I don’t think they have a fear of losing me.”

Sushmita Sen has now released the third season of Aarya which is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
