Sushmita Sen shares fierce first look as a transwoman from activist Shreegauri Sawant biopic Taali

Sushmita Sen on Thursday shared the first look of her upcoming biopic on transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant on her Instagram. The actress took to her social media account and dropped the first glimpse. She is playing the titular role of Shreegauri Sawant in the movie. Sushmita Sen made the post on her Instagram and shared another update of the biopic on transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant.

Taking to her Instagram, the Aarya actress shared the first look and mentioned the filming on the movie has started. Sushmita made the post and shared the update with a powerful line. She wrote, “Taali – बजाऊँगी नहीं, बजवाऊँगी !” The actress mentioned it is her ‘first look’ as ‘Shreegauri Sawant’.

In the first look, Sushmita looks fierce as Shreegauri Sawant. The actress is wearing a bottle green saree with gold border. She has worn her hair up in a bun. Sen gives a peek of her first look as she fits perfectly into the role of the transgender.

In the post’s caption, Sushmita mentioned how nothing more makes her prouder and grateful to play the role of a transgender. She expressed how privileged she feels to play the role of a ‘beautiful person’ like Gauri Sawant and bringing her story to the world.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sen was last seen in the second season of her much-acclaimed web series titled Aarya. Her performance in the show won her several awards.
