Sushmita Sen’s ‘Dilbar’ song recreated for John Abraham’s ‘Satyameva Jayate’

The trend of recreating old chartbusters doesn’t seem to be dying down anytime soon in Bollywood. And the latest song that is going to be recreated is ‘Dilbar’ song from the hit romantic drama ‘Sirf Tum’ that featured the sensational Sushmita Sen. The film starred Sanjay Kapoor and Priya Gil in lead roles.

The makers of John Abraham starrer ‘Satyameva Jayate’ are all set to recreate the song and the new version will feature gorgeous actress-dancer Nora Fatehi. ‘Dilbar’ will be reprised by hit composer Tanishk Bagchi and the song was shot on Nora and John this weekend. Talking about reprising the 90s song, the director Milap Zaveri said, “This is one of my favourite songs and Tanishk has given our “Dilbar” an Arabic touch. It is choreographed by Adil (Shaikh) and set in a sheesha bar with Nora as the dancer and John arriving there as he is chasing someone to the spot. It’s an interesting set-up.”

Choreographer Adil Shaikh shared, “We have used a lot of props, including water, fire, and smoke and for Nora’s entry she will be seen emerging from the sand. She is a professional belly dancer but everything she had done so far had a very urban feel. With this song, we have gone all out. It’s been a while since we saw something like this on the big screen.”

Milap Zaveri-directed, ‘Satyameva Jayate’, which is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar is scheduled to hit the silver screens this Independence Day.
