‘Swades’ actress Kishori Ballal passes away

Renowned Bollywood and Kannada actress Kishori Ballal passed away on Tuesday (February 18). She was seen in ‘Swades’ with Shah Rukh Khan. As per reports, she was suffering from age-related problems and was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru.

Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker is heartbroken by the death of the veteran actress and he took to his Twitter handle to mourn her death. He tweeted, “Terribly  sad about the passing away of #KishoriBallal ji!! Kishori ji… you will be remembered for your generously kind, warm and affable persona! And your unforgettable performance as #Kaveriamma in #Swades !! You will surely be missed!! ?‍♂️”

Ballal started her career in acting in 1960 and worked in movies like Aiyyaa’, ‘Lafangey Parindey’, and ‘Carry On Maratha’ among others. She has acted in over 50 movies in her career span.
