Swara Bhaskar is one such celebrity who is never scared to speak her heart out. The actress, who has impressed us with her performances in films like ‘Tanu Wed Manu’ franchise, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, ‘Nil Battey Sannata’ and ‘Anaarkali of Aarah’, recently walked the ramp for designer Akassh K Aggarwal’s latest collection ‘Tribe Vibe Collections’.
Aggarwal’s collection was inspired from ancient tribals, resonating with the theme of self-love. Made to break the stereotype of seeing a woman as a secondary and weaker sex, the theme of the collection surely hit the bull’s eye. It was a perfect mix of Indie and Western. Swara spoke about feminism at the same event.
Swara said, “Who says feminism has to be boring, that’s a myth. It’s a myth that feminists hate men, they don’t shave their legs. Ultimately feminism is fight for equal rights, not more rights. I have always maintained, feminism is fight for people’s right. It is also a fight to free men from the pressure of patriarchy and masculinity, which is put on men.” (Also Read: When Swara Bhaskar beat the hell out of a pervert with her umbrella!)
When it comes to films, Swara will next be seen in ‘Veerey Di Wedding’ which also stars Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shika Talsania. Talking about the movie, Swara stated that it will break a lot of myths.
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
