Swara Bhasker calls for Rhea Chakraborty’s release after AIIMS dismissed murder theory in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case

Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) last month in the drugs case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. She is in judicial custody till October 6.

Earlier on Sunday, the Congress leader tweeted, “We are all pained by the expiry of Sushant ji but he cannot be honoured by falsely implicating a lady as an accused, I have earlier said that Rhea Chakroborty was an innocent lady, she should be released without further harassment to her, she has been the victim of Political conspiracy,” (sic).

His tweet came after the AIIMS team ruled out the murder theory in Sushant’s case. Earlier, reacting to the AIIMS findings, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said, “We on behalf of Rhea Chakraborty have always said that truth cannot be changed under any circumstances. The speculations against Rhea in some quarters of the Media are motivated and mischievous. We remain committed to Truth Alone. Satya Meva Jayate.”

Rhea and her brother Showik were arrested under Section 27A (punishment for illicit traffic and harbouring offenders) of the NDPS act.

Talking about Swara Bhasker, she has been condemning the media trial against Rhe and called out the “witch-hunt”.
