After Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the nepotism debate has escalated to a whole another level and many Bollywood stars are being slammed for favouring it over the years. Sushant was speculated to be suffering on the professional front and Mumbai Police has been investigating his case. Meanwhile, netizens have been bashing Bollywood biggies for making the outsiders suffer, but looks like actress Swara Bhasker has a new perspective to this situation.
In an interview with Newslaundry, Swara was speaking about the nepotism fiasco going on in the industry. Swara said, “If you have so much love and concern for outsiders, watch our films in theatres.”
To explain her point she said that if you compare the box-office collections of Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Trapped’, Irrfan Khan’s ‘Karwaan’, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor’ to films like Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter’s ‘Dhadak’, ‘Student Of The Year 1 and 2’, one will understand her point. She said that it’s people who love to watch star kids more. She said, “This kind of individual name calling is not a helpful conversation at all.”
