Swara Bhasker has THIS to say to claims of Deepika Padukone being paid Rs 5 crore to attend JNU protest

Deepika Padukone had left everyone in shock when she had made an appearance at the JNU protest. Post that the actress had received a ton of backlash for her appearance and her values were being questioned as well. Now, the rumour mill is abuzz with the news that Deepika was paid a whopping Rs 5 crore for her appearance. But Swara Bhasker rubbished the ‘idiotic misinformation’.

Swar took to her Twitter handle and wrote back to a tweet that read, “Deepika padukone took 5 crores for her 2 minutes appearance in JNU for Anti-CAA protests while @ReallySwara could only manage a C-grade web series despite artistically screeching against CAA for an year Bhagwan kisi ko depression de de lekin Communism na de???”

Swara wrote, “The kind of idiotic misinformation that is peddled ceaselessly by RW about #Bollywood is partly why we as a public accept any kind of conspiracy theory- however vulgar and outlandish! A rampant culture of stupidity…”

Swara, who is also an alumni of JNU had joined the protests back then. Other celebrities who also made an appearance at the protests were, Taapsee Pannu, Richa Chadha, Dia Mirza, Vishal Bhardwaj, Anurag Kashyap and Zoya Akhtar.
