Swara Bhasker receives death threat letter, Mumbai police launch investigation

After Salman Khan, now Swara Bhasker has received death threat. She has received a letter that she shared on social media. As per a report in PTI, Mumbai police have launched an investigation on Wednesday. An official said that the letter was sent to Swara’s residence in Versova.

The official also said that Swara approached Versova police station two days back and lodged a complaint against unidentified persons, after receiving the letter. He said that they are investigating it. “Based on the complaint, we have registered a non-cognisable offence against unidentified persons,” he said.

Sharing the letter that she received by post, Swara wrote in Hindi, “देश के नौजवान तो ख़ैर सड़कों पर नौकरी की माँग कर रहे हैं..पर एक प्रजाति महंगाई, बेरोज़गारी, भुखमरी सब सहेगी.. बस ऐतिहासिक सच और तथ्य नहीं सहेगी!इतना रोश – पर नम्बर रेवारी में बैठे किसी चाचा का डाला है भाई ने! ???‍♀️#threat”

The Veere Di Wedding actress is very much vocal about her opinions and she never minces her words. She more often speaks on socio-political matters. Recently, she condemned the Udaipur incident where a tailor was beheaded. She tweeted, “Despicable and utterly condemnable.. The perpetrators should be dealt with promptly and strictly, as per law! Earlier this month, Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan had also received death threat through an anonymous letter handed over to the actor’s father during his morning walk at the Bandra promenade. An FIR was lodged against an unknown person by the Bandra police.
