Swara Bhasker reveals she is set to embrace motherhood via adoption

Swara Bhasker is going to embrace motherhood soon. The Veere Di Wedding actress opened up about it recently. She revealed how she always wanted to have a family and children. Swara shared that she’s all set to be a mother to a child. Bhasker mentioned that she has applied for adoption and is currently on the waiting list. She even shared that she even met many couples who have adopted children and met some children who were adopted and are now almost adults.

Speaking with Mid-Day, the Sheer Korma actress said, “I’ve always wanted a family and children. I realised that adoption was a way to marry these things.”

Swara added, “Luckily in India, the State allows single women to adopt. I met many couples who have adopted children, met some children who were adopted and are now almost adults. I read up on the process and experience.”

Bhasker mentioned that the waiting period is quite long and revealed that it can even take as long as three years for the process. She said she can’t wait to be a parent to a child via adoption.  The actress is now a prospective adoptive parent in the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA).

Meanwhile, the actress recently won the Best Actress Award for her role in Sheer Qorma at the Soho London Independent Film Festival. She plays the role of Sitara in the movie co-starring Shabana Azmi and Divya Dutt. On the work front, Bhasker has Mimamsa in her kitty.
