Swara Bhasker travels from Mumbai to Delhi by road as her mom suffers a terrible fracture

Swara Bhasker had travelled to her hometown Delhi from Mumbai by road as her mother has suffered a fracture. She took special permission amid the coronavirus lockdown.

As per a report by IANS, Swara said, “I was very concerned when I learnt about my mother’s fall and the fracture to the right arm. My first impulse was to rush to Delhi….to look after my mom…but that was not possible due to the lockdown.”

She further said, “So as soon as the process opened up, I applied for permission and travelled by road from Mumbai to Delhi. It was a very long journey, two days by road with an overnight halt. I had a safe journey albeit long and I’m very grateful to have been allowed to travel and to now be here with my mom.. if only to help her comb her hair and change clothes! I’ve gone through the necessary self-isolation and home quarantine protocols.”

We are happy that Swara is at home and she will be able to take care of her mom properly now. The lockdown is extended till May 31. Meanwhile, it has been announced that from June 1, 200 trains will start to run. Also, domestic flights will start operating from May 25. We hope whoever is stuck due to the lockdown will be able to go to their respective places.
