Taapsee Pannu finally breaks silence on her argument with the paparazzi: Even my parents don’t scold me in that tone

Actress Taapsee Pannu recently got into an argument with the paparazzi after they requested her to stop for pics before a promotional event of her upcoming film Dobaaraa. The paps told her that they had been waiting for past two hours for her. A video of Taapsee losing her cool at the paparazzi has gone viral on social media.

In the video, as she is walking inside the venue, photographers can be heard saying, “Taapsee ji, rukiye (Taapsee ji, wait)”, “do ghante se ruke hain taapsee ji (we have been waiting for the past two hours)” and “aap ruk kyun nahi rahi hain, taapsee ji (why aren’t you stopping)?” Taapsee replied back, “Aap daat kyu rahe ho? Meri kya galti hai isme? Aap mujhe aise kyu suna rahe ho? (Why are you yelling at me? What’s my fault? Why are you lecturing me?)” In a recent interview, the actress has broken silence on her argument with the paps.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Taapsee shared the photographer was so rude to her that she felt he was doing her a favour by clicking her pics. The actress said that she is a public figure and not public property. She also said that the photographers need to be respectful toward celebrities. The Haseen Dilruba actress added, “Even my parents don’t scold me in that tone. I don’t even know how to describe it to you. I was given a schedule to follow. I was doing that. Why should I be at the receiving end of this tone, as if I have committed a crime?!”

She further said, “We are not morons. We are not illiterates to lose our cool on video without reason. I refuse to accept I was disrespectful to anyone. I was calm I kept smiling respectfully although that gentleman did not respect me at all. He kept making faces at me and he talked to me in a very derogatory tone. I did not want to retaliate. I folded my hands and accepted whatever he had to say.”
