Taapsee Pannu Calls Her Working Birthday On Dunki Sets “The Best Gift Ever” & It’s All Thanks To Shah Rukh Khan

Taapsee Pannu is a versatile actress who has showcased her acting talents several film across film industries. The 36-year-old actress – who featured in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil films, was last seen on the silver screen in the December 2023 release Dunki. In this Rajkumar Hirani directorial, Taapsee starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan and has now revealed an interesting anecdote from the sets.

Recently, Taapsee revealed she spent her 36^th birthday filming the comedy drama film centered around the illegal immigration technique called “donkey flight”. While narrating the memory, she added that she considers it her “best birthday gift ever” and it’s all thanks to her filming an interesting scene with the Badshah of Bollywood.

Recalling the anecdote, Taapsee Pannu stated, “It is a classic Shah Rukh Khan love story scene. I was just glad to be a part of it and not let it down but let me tell you a good trivia about that day that we shot that scene it was my birthday. It was my birthday and I went on everywhere on the set I kept saying this is my birthday gift. This is the best birthday gift ever that I get to do a classic Shah Rukh Khan romantic sequence on my birthday.”

She continued, “I will remember it for the rest of my life like what better birthday, then to run and hug him on record in a 48 frame round trolley.” While there is no doubt that the romantic scene from Dunki melted the heart of the audiences, this sweet revelation is sure to make it even more special.

On the professional front, Taapsee Pannu’s next outings will see her play ACP Komal Sharma in Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan?, Rani Kashyap in Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba and an undisclosed character in Khel Khel Mein.
