Taapsee Pannu reveals it wasn’t ‘love at first sight’ for her and husband Mathias Boe, says, “I took time”

Taapsee Pannu married her boyfriend of 10 years, badminton player Mathias Boe in Udaipur in March this year. While the newlyweds have confirmed they did tie the knot, they are to share pictures and videos from their inter-caste wedding celebration. During a recent interview, the actress got candid about their relationship and why she took time to say yes to it.

During a recent chat with Cosmopolitan India, Taapsee got candid about her and Mathias Boe’s relationship. The ‘Dunki’ actress revealed she took her time to say yes to their relationship. She said, “It was not like a love-at-first-sight situation, for me at least. I took time to test if it was really practical…the feasibility of the relationship was important to me. I was obviously fond of him and respected him, and we kept meeting and I grew to love him. So falling in love didn’t happen in a month or instantly. It is a fact though, which I keep repeating in most interviews about him—when I met him I felt like I met a man.”

She continued, “I had dated so many boys before him, and suddenly, I met a guy who didn’t feel like anyone I’d been with before. So there’s this sudden sense of security and maturity, which was so evident that I felt like ‘Okay, you’ve finally found the man.'”

Taapsee Pannu and Mathias Boe had a fairy-tale wedding ceremony in March. The actress and badminton champion, who met during the inaugural Indian Badminton League in 2013, tied the knot in the presence of family and close friends on March 23 in Udaipur. The duo – who have been together for a decade now, are yet to shared pictures of their wedding.

On the professional front, Taapsee will soon be seen in Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan?, Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba and Khel Khel Mein.
