Taapsee Pannu starrer Shabaash Mithu gets a release date, BF Mathias Boe cheers for his ladylove

Taapsee Pannu is all set to enthrall the audiences with her upcoming film, Shabaash Mithu. Taapsee is playing the role of cricketer, Mithali Raj of India women’s national cricket team. The sports drama has finally got a release date. On Friday, April 29, Taapsee Pannu announced the release date of Shabaash Mithu along with a new poster on social media. In the poster, we see Taapsee as Mithali Raj and a kid who will trace the journey of the cricketer of being an 8-year-old kid with a dream to becoming a legend in the Gentleman’s game. The movie is releasing on July 15, 2022.

Sharing the new poster of Shabaash Mithu, Taapsee wrote, “There is nothing more powerful than a girl with a dream and a plan to realise it! This is a story of one such girl who chased her dream with a bat in this “Gentleman’s Game” #ShabaashMithu The Unheard Story Of Women In Blue will be in cinemas on 15th July 2022.”

Soon after Taapsee shared the news, her boyfriend Mathias Boe cheered for his ladylove. He wrote, “It’s a six” with heart emoticons.

In Shabaash Mithu, Taapsee will reflect Mithali’s cricket journey from being an 8-year-old girl to becoming a successful cricketer. Mithali Raj has a career spanning 23 years, 7 consecutive 50s in ODIs and has led India in 4 World Cups.

The Mithali Raj biopic is directed by Srijit Mukherji, and written by Priya Aven.

On the work front, Taapsee has Dobaaraa, Blurr, Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan? and Dunki in her kitty.
