Taapsee Pannu on her supernatural thriller with Anurag Kashyap: I hope I don’t let anyone down

Taapsee Pannu had quite a few collaborations with Anurag Kashyap with movies like ‘Manmarziyaan’, ‘Game Over’ and the upcoming ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, which he has produced. The duo is said to team up again for a supernatural thriller.

According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the supernatural-thriller will be helmed by Anurag Kashyap. It is yet untitled which, Taapsee promises to “present something Indian cinema has never witnessed before”.

Taapsee says that it is a tall order when you’re trying to eliminate ghosts that have been such an integral part of the genre. She explains that what is not part of the real world is entitled as supernatural giving the example of Christopher Nolan’s ‘Inception’, She said, “My last thriller, ‘Game Over’, has some scenes that made you sit up and ask, ‘What just happened?’ This one won’t be spooky in that sense.”

She revealed that the story will have many characters but it won’t have any male protagonists. She will be in the lead, to which she said, “I hope I don’t let anyone down.”

She explained that she will not be making any changes to her appearance in this movie but will be sporting multiple looks like she did to play ‘Revolver Daadi’ Prakashi Tomar in ‘Saand Ki Aankh’.

“The houses need to be a certain kind. We will be shooting the film towards the year-end and many countries at that time are freezing. Our film isn’t set during winter, so we don’t need to go anywhere chilly. We are looking for a place that is gloomy,” said Taapsee. The report said that the film will be shot outside India since it requires a particular setting.
