Taapsee Pannu is ‘back to work’ after the IT raid; says, “I am very very much okay”

Taapsee Pannu’s residence was raided by the Income Tax Departement a few days ago. Along with Taapsee, Anurag Kashyap and other production houses were also raided by the department. A discrepancy of Rs 300 crore was found after the raid. Reportedly, the raid was in connection to alleged tax evasion and in connection with Anurag Kashyap’s Phantom Films.

In an interview with SpotboyE, Taapsee said that she is very much ok and that she has started working immediately after the raids were complete, “I am very very much okay. Now one has got to do what one has got to do. I have to start work immediately.” Taapsee’s friend further told the portal that she is not one to be daunted easily and that the Thappad actress has nothing to hide, “While the raid was , she was not worried about herself but her parents and sister. It is unacceptable to her that her family should suffer on her behalf.”

Taapsee said that there are expectations from the characters she plays, “The audiences’ expectations challenge me to do better and better. I want them to come to the theatre with expectations of something special, something substantial Now there are expectations not only from my films but from the characters I play. And that’s fine.”

Earlier, Taapsee reacted to the raids and said that she is ‘not-so-sasti’ anymore, she wrote in a tweet, “3 days of intense search of 3 things primarily 1. The keys of the “alleged” bungalow that I apparently own in Paris. Because summer holidays are around the corner 2. The “alleged” receipt worth 5 crores to frame n keep for future pitching coz I’ve been refused that money before 3. My memory of 2013 raid that happened with me according to our honourable finance minister. P.S- “not so sasti” anymore(sic).”
