Taapsee Pannu on landing a role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Dunki: Almost 10 saal lage

Shah Rukh Khan announced his new movie Dunki with Rajkumar Hirani yesterday in a quirky post. This is the first time SRK will be working with the director. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen opposite Taapsee Pannu in Dunki. This will also be the first time that the duo will be sharing screen space and Taapsee is very excited to work with King Khan. In her latest social media post, Taapsee revealed that it took her almost 10 years to bag a role opposite SRK.

Taapsee took to her Twitter account and after Dunki was announced, she said it in SRK style that she is now finally working with King of Romance in Bollywood. Taapsee wrote in the tweet, “Yes it’s hard to make it till here, and it’s harder when you are all by yourself but then a superstar once said ‘agar kisi cheez ko shiddat se chaho to puri kayanat tumhe usse milane me lag jati hai (if you wish for something with all your heart, the entire universe conspires to get it for you)’ cheers to honesty, hard work and perseverance. Almost 10 saal lage (it took 10 years) but finally ‘All is Well’.”

Meanwhile, Khan had taken to his Instagram account where he announced Dunki in an unusual way. The post read, “Dear @hirani.rajkumar sir, Aap toh Mere Santa Claus nikle. Aap shuru karo main time pe pahunch jaunga. actually main toh set par hi rehne lagunga!Feeling humbled and excited to finally work with you.Bringing to you all #Dunki in cinemas on 22nd December 2023 @taapsee @gaurikhan @redchilliesent @rhfilmsofficial(sic)”
