Tabu: I can completely relate to Manju’s character in ‘De De Pyaar De’ as I have similar traits

Tabu is one of the most fascinating and extremely talented actresses in Bollywood. The versatile actress has consistently depicted characters that have made us gape at her in awe and now she is all set to wow us once again with her portrayal of the dazzling Manju in the upcoming quirky rom-com ‘De De Pyaar De‘.

The laugh-riot starring also starring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet in pivotal roles has already got the audience excited, and the feisty Manju has seamlessly won everyone’s hearts.

Interestingly, while Tabu has never been trapped in a situation as shown in the film, however, she feels that Manju of ‘De De Pyaar De’ and she has a lot in common than one could have ever imagined.

Tabu admits that Manju is a lot like her in real life.“I can completely relate to Manju’s character as I have similar traits in me in real life. Although I haven’t gone through everything that Manju goes through in life, I can still relate to it because that’s how I would react to a situation in the real world,” shares the National award-winning actress.

Giving credit to the film’s writer and co-producer Luv Ranjan, Tabu further explained, “I am sure Luv thought the same way and that’s the reason he offered me to play this part. If ever I am thrown in a situation like this in life, I will also take steps and act the way Manju acts. The character has a sense of maturity blended perfectly with strength, ease and no melodrama.”

Well, no wonder Tabu is looking so effortless while portraying Manju on-screen, and the more we look at her glimpses in the film, the more certain we are that nobody could have played the role better than her.

‘De De Pyaar De’ is helmed by Akiv Ali and is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The film will hit the screens on May 17.
