Karan Johar has finally locked in on his next directorial venture. Earlier this year, he had announced in an interview that he will soon announce the cast. And now, his announcement is on its way sometime this month. We have already told you what the entire cast looks like.
Karan’s next is a big ensemble film with a historical background. Yesterday, we told you that Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt have been locked in for the film. Now, we can tell you what their roles would be. KJo is planning a huge historical on the Mughal dynasty and it will revolve around the life and chronicles of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz’s kids – mainly featuring their three children.
Ranveer and Kareena will play siblings in the film. A source tells us that Ranveer will play Dara Shukoh whereas Bebo will be seen as Jahanara Begum. Alia will play Ranveer’s wife in the film but all of this is tentative. On the other hand, another important role is of the younger brother Aurangzeb who is known for his cruel nature and evil attitude. Since the film is based on sibling rivalry and power politics, the makers have also zeroed in on a perfect title.
What’s it called? Well, it’s been titled ‘TAKHT’. ‘Takht’ or the throne seems like a perfect title for the film, which will see two Mughal brothers fighting it out for the crown. As history goes, we all know who succeeded and how. So Takht it is!
We now wait for the makers to announce the film with its second actor.
Stay tuned for more such exclusive news!
